Vacations are all about escaping the every-day. There are few resort hotels that create such a fantastic, far-away atmosphere as Universal Orlando's Portofino Bay Hotel.
When you travel to Florida, you don't expect to land within minutes of an Italian fishing village. But that's what you'll find when you arrive at the Portofino Bay Hotel.

The first of these is that your hotel room key can be used to pay for purchases. Not only that, but your souvenirs can be delivered to your room at no charge so that you will not have to carry the items with you all day long as you experience the parks' thrill rides.
And you'll be able to experience them faster! Guests of the resort hotels can show their room key at the Express Entrance to all of the most popular rides and bypass the lines. Similarly, hotel guests are given priority seating at the Universal Orlando restaurants, making it so that you spend less time waiting and more time playing.
And while the kids will enjoy their time at the parks, when it's time for a bit of more relaxed fun, it's a very quick trip back to the hotel. You'll be able to relax at one of the three themed pools at the hotel.
If golf appeals to you more than the pool, you'll be able to take advantage of the local courses. And you can feel comfortable leaving the kids behind as the hotel has a well-supervised children's activity center - which is also a great option if you are planning to spend time in the fitness center or the nearby jogging paths.
