Searching for an authentic English pub? Heralded as one of Orlando's oldest British pubs, the Cricketer's Arms offers a rich British atmosphere coupled with choice brews such as Newcastle, Boddington's and Old Speckle Hen. You'll realize right away, this place is serious about its tasty imported beers and English sports.
The Scene & Décor
Overall the scene is chill with a friendly combination of locals and tourists merely passing through. Above the bar are a collection of emblems that represent cricket clubs, rugby and soccer aka football teams. Go ahead and ask the bartender what they're all about, and you'll get the scoop on some choice sports teams. Along the back is a small stage, where live music ensues each night. A slew of dartboards add to the activity scene.
Live Music
Every Sunday, Michael Crissan takes the stage to cover classic rock bands such as REO Speedwagon and Billy Joel. Saturday nights rotate around 80's night and country music or blues. All throughout the rest of the week, local performers rock out to a variety of cover songs including everything from Garth Brooks to Jimmy Buffet to Elvis.
The Food
On the menu you'll find a stacked selection of food ranging from sandwiches to bangers to stout pies. Then there's the ever-classic fish and chips.
If you're looking for a place to pop in, grab a few drinks and hear some live music and maybe watch the "football" game, the Cricketer's Arms will suit your fancy.
