The Club at Firestone
Published On: Oct 26, 2006

What do you get when you take a historic building, the pulse of the electronic music of the 1990s and the desire to rival the best dance clubs in New York? Well, if you're the owners of the Club at Firestone, you get recognition from the major reporters on the music industry, booming success and the revitalization of the neighborhood.

It sounds like a dream. It's what everyone who opens a club hopes to have happen. It starts as an idea, and then, with a lot of work and a sprinkle of good luck, it becomes a reality. You have yourself a world class night club.

But just as music is an art that is always changing and always evolving, so is the dream of the owners of the Club at Firestone. Recently, they took a good thing and made it even better: half a million dollars later, with upgraded sound and lighting systems and another dance area, the Roxy just keeps getting better.

Regardless of who you are, what (or who) you're interested in and what style of music moves your body, you'll find that you fit in at the Club at Firestone.

The club offers three primary dance nights: Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Each of them has its own unique style and theme.

Fridays are Latin Ladies Nights at Firestone. Take three very different styles of music - reggaeton, hip-hip, and salsa merengue and bachata, find a different DJ with a passion for the style to spin it, and you're guaranteed to be hypnotized by the beats and heat.

Saturdays are the night where the club's evolution is the most obvious. They begin with the theme of "Future Sound Breaks" and aim to get everyone moving to the beats of tomorrow. Though this may seem like it's a bit of a risk, the owners of the club know their customers and cater to helping them stay ahead of the trends.

Sundays are again focused on the ladies, but everyone moves to the rhythm of all different styles of hip-hop beats.

While dance has been the traditional focus of the the Club at Firestone, the club serves other purposes as well. Mondays through Thursdays are special event nights. Just what is a special event at the Firestone?

Well, it can be any number of things dependent on the night. The Club at Firestone is available for private parties and corporate functions, but the owners take advantage of their concert stage and put on live concerts.

Orlando's hottest club offers something to its patrons that the other clubs just can't provide: the chance to be a part of an ever-changing history. But even through the Club at Firestone is always changing and always looking forward, there is one element that has always been and will always be a constant at the club.

No matter what the foundation of the Club at Firestone will always be music made for dancing.
