Experience one of Orlando's most exclusive theme park adventures - SeaWorld's Discovery Cove. With admission capped at around 1,000 visitors per day, Discovery Cove offers more interactive attractions, fewer crowds, an attentive staff and fond memories that will last a lifetime.
Unique Attractions
A full day pass lets you hand feed tropical birds, swim with the dolphins, bask beneath a cooling waterfall and so much more. Notable attractions include: Tropical River Swim, a relaxing resort for colorful birds and cascading waterfalls; Dolphin Swim, an up close encounter with some of the seas most affable creatures; Coral Reef, teeming with exotic fish; Ray Lagoon, rich with meandering stingrays (with stingers removed); the Bird Aviary, featuring the world's most fascinating specimens of flight; and the Resort Pool, for swimming and lounging.
The Experience
First off, due to the exclusive nature of Discovery Cove, you'll have to book in advance. For the price of admission, you also get a one week pass to SeaWorld. When you arrive on the scene there are numerous staff members on-hand to help show you around. Before the adventure begins, the park trainers will show you an intriguing dolphin video and tell you some basic dolphin rules of etiquette for when you're in the water. You'll also be given a handy swipe card if you'd like to make any purchases along the way.
When its time to meet the dolphins, stroll across the soft sandy beach and into the lagoon. Don't be afraid to get right up there and lay down a smooch on these adorable creatures. Afterwards you can hop right onto the dolphins back and let them pull you through the water. Then you can get your photo taken with your new porpoise pal.
Enjoy the rest of the day petting giant stingrays, lounging by waterfalls and snorkeling with vibrantly colored fish. There is also a section with sharks that are securely maintained behind a thick glass wall. If you'd rather get out of the water, the tropical birds in the free-flight aviary are quite a sight.
